Who sends these messages
Text messages sent through Simplyweds are sent by Pinstripe Business Services LLC, the company that owns and operates Simplyweds, on behalf of the couple whose wedding website you are using. Simplyweds is a service of Pinstripe Business Services LLC.
What kinds of messages you will receive
Messages are transactional wedding notifications only. Typical messages include:
- Confirmation that your RSVP was received.
- RSVP reminders before the couple’s deadline.
- Day-of logistics such as shuttle pickup times and locations.
- Schedule changes, venue changes, and weather or timing updates.
We do not send marketing, advertising, or promotional messages to wedding guests, and we never sell or rent your phone number.
Sample messages
- “Simplyweds: Your RSVP for the Miller wedding on 10/11 is confirmed for 2 guests. Details: simplyweds.com/w/miller. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”
- “Simplyweds: Shuttle to the ceremony leaves the Marriott at 3:15 PM tomorrow. Please be in the lobby by 3:05 PM. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”
How consent is collected
Guests opt in themselves. On the wedding website you were invited to, you enter your own mobile number and check a consent box that is not checked by default. The exact wording shown next to that checkbox is:
Opt-in form shown to wedding guests (sample, this copy does not submit)
Plain-text copy of that consent wording, recorded with every opt-in:
Yes, I agree to receive text messages from Simplyweds (a service of Pinstripe Business Services LLC) at the mobile number I provided, about this wedding: RSVP confirmations and reminders, schedule or venue changes, and day-of logistics such as shuttle times. Message frequency varies, typically fewer than 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of attending the wedding or of any purchase. See our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms.
Nothing is sent until you check that box and submit the form. Consent is never a condition of attending the wedding, of RSVPing, or of purchasing anything. We record the date and time of your consent, the wording displayed to you, and the IP address the consent was submitted from, so that we can honor and verify it.
Message frequency
Frequency varies by wedding. Most guests receive a small number of messages in the weeks before the event and on the wedding weekend itself.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Simplyweds does not charge guests for text messages; your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. Opting out of one wedding’s messages removes your number from all Simplyweds text messaging. Reply START to resubscribe.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message, or email support@pinstripeservices.com.
Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and depends on your carrier and device.
Privacy
Phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only to send the wedding notifications described above. They are shared with our messaging provider solely to deliver those messages, and are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Our full Terms of Service also apply.
