Digital invitations

Digital wedding invitations that track themselves

An emailed image is not an invitation. It is a JPEG somebody has to reply to manually. Simplyweds sends each household a private link to their own invitation, then shows you who has been invited, when, and who has replied.

How the send works

Addressed to households, not inboxes

The Whitmores get one invitation naming both of them and their two seats. Nobody receives an invitation meant for someone else, and nobody forwards yours to a stranger.

Email the list, text the ones who opted in

One send emails every household. Texts go only to guests who ticked the text opt-in themselves, and everyone else still gets the email.

Invitations you can account for

Who has been invited, on what date, how many times, and who has replied, per household. No guessing which family you missed on the second pass.

Reminders that skip the people who replied

Automatic email follow-ups at 30, 14, 7, and 2 days out, sent only to households that have not answered, with the deadline from your site.

One code for signage, one per household

Print the wedding code on a welcome card and guests land on your hub to find themselves. Each household also gets a private code that opens their own invitation, downloadable one by one or as a zip.

No printing, no postage, no reply cards

The reply lands in your guest list as structured data (who is coming, and any dietary or access note) instead of a stack of cards to type up.

Questions couples ask

Are digital wedding invitations acceptable?
Yes, and they are now the norm for the reply mechanism even at formal weddings. Many couples still post a paper save-the-date or invitation for the ceremony and use a digital invitation for all the details and the RSVP.
How do you send digital wedding invitations?
Load your guest list as households, review the wording, add a personal note if you want one, and send. Every household receives a private link to their own invitation by email, and the guest list shows you who has been invited and who has replied.
Can guests reply without creating an account?
Yes. Guests never make an account or install anything. Their private code proves who they are, and a guest without one can confirm a phone or email instead, then answer.
Can I send both paper and digital?
That is the most common setup: a printed card carrying the QR code, and a digital invitation carrying the schedule, travel, and RSVP that would never fit on the card.
What about guests who do not use email?
Print their household's QR code on a card and post it. If they still cannot reply themselves, record the answer on their behalf from your guest list and it appears with everyone else's.
